Munich Airport has reported that Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER slid/skidded off its south runway after landing yesterday. SIA Flight SQ327 had slid off the Munich runway into the grass shortly after touching down at 12.14pm, 7.14pm Singapore time on an arrival flight from Manchester, England. Of the 143 passengers and 14 crew on board, none were injured Scoot Air . A number of passengers on board reported that the aircraft landing was unusually hard, and that it had veered to the left exiting the munich runway, then veered right and crossed the runway before coming to a standstill off the runway on the right.
One of Munich's two airport runways remained shut at press time, and was expected to cause major delays and some cancellations at Germany's second-largest airport. The cause of the accident has yet to be determined.
